How can you compare old technology with new technology?

Modern technology is merely a development of old technology; the influence of technology on today's world is unquantifiable; we have been using technologies in different instances, and at times the certainty in which we incorporate technological advancements ends up either harming or improving our lives or the society in which we live. Our ancestors developed technology to assist them in providing for their needs; they used stone blocks, groves, as well as other tools to create the relatively simple and most innovative equipment. Having followed by that, the new generation utilized indigenous knowledge and experience to quality integration and technology advancement in each era. That is why we now have the new technology. Technology is now used not only to meet people's needs, but also to satisfy their desires. Is technological development more beneficial than harmful, or vice versa?

Old technology managed to give us more independence by enabling us to repair problems and become more self-reliant. Now, human beings have also invented creation of such things which made humans lazier. In my opinion, it is not technology that has disadvantages; it is our goals or wants that have disadvantages and impose us to assume of technology as having disadvantages. Although, it also has advantages, it has also created new technologies to assist us in communicating and staying informed. This is very encouraging because we are much better informed than we were previously. However, science has greatly increased our dangerous power as a consequence of nuclear weapons, endangering humanity's very existence. Furthermore, we deplete natural environment, negatively impacting our society in the coming years.
